Warranty
All windows, porch enclosures and entry doors by Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors are manufactured to meet or exceed industry standards. Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors warrants its products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Our windows, porch enclosures and entry doors parts and components are covered during the stated period, under normal use and service, subject to the terms and conditions contained in this transferable limited lifetime warranty. The following windows, porch enclosures and entry doors parts and components are covered during the stated period, under normal use and service, subject to the terms and conditions contained in this limited warranty.
Manufacturer LIFETIME for aluminum frames – 25 years
1-Year Warranty on Paint Finish against defects and fading
Hardware – 1 year
Manufacturer provides replacement parts for door closer, pumps, door safety chains, locks and porch enclosure window latches 1 year
Roofs for porch enclosure: shingle roof – 3 years, aluminium roof – 5 years
What’s not covered?
- Installation or service that has not been paid for in full
- All product imperfections and/or defects such as cracks, scratches, dents, bends, tears and punctures that are reported after a period of 2 days from the day of installation or pickup.
- Panel scratches, dents or any imperfections in the glasses less than 1″. The manufacturer provides the paint touch up for any scratches, imperfections above 1″.
- All porch enclosures are 3 season, single glazed units and under certain circumstances some air or/ and water infiltration may occur. Not guaranteed against air and water leakage as per Government standard in accordance with C.G.S.B. 82-GP-3M.
- No warranty against rattling or shaking of glass inserts on all storm doors and panels.
- No warranty for any screen damage, flapping, sagging, warping of the screen (mesh), screen damaged by any person or animals/ pets.
- Screens damage, door sweeps, door thresholds, natural shrinking of caulk, rusty or broken screws and glass breakage of any kind are not covered under this warranty.
- Vinyl-Professionals assumes no responsibility for painting or touch-ups, stucco, drywall, tiles, stone, concrete or plaster repairs and cracks, fixing holes and imperfections after an existing porch enclosure or posts removal or damage to the existing homeowner’s materials, garden plants or landscaping and removal or re-installation of window coverings and security/ alarm systems. Old railings may be damaged and may not be reused after the customer requests to remove them.
- Porch enclosures with a limited (small) space inside. When the porch/storm door closes in such areas it builds up an excessive pressure inside. Excessive resistance may not let the door shut fully sometimes and it requires to lock the door by hand.
- In case of existing post removal, the new porch enclosure aluminum corner post must be installed exactly at the same position as the old post to prevent the roof from sagging, spreading and other structural damages.
- No warranty for any shifting, sagging, raising of the existing customer foundation, deck, floor or any structural settlements, frost heaving that lead to product failure or damage.
- The Warranty does not cover routine and seasonal adjustments of a door, frame or bottom sweep caused by seasonal foundation or house shifting. All doors may bind at times. Exterior doors are subject to severe conditions because of the exposure to both internal heat and external elements. A certain amount of expansion and/or contraction may be expected during a time.
- No warranty applies to doors or door hardware (safety chain, hinges, pump, lock) accidentally damaged by any person or damaged by weather (wind, hail, falling trees etc.).
- Vinyl-Professionals does not install the wired or video doorbells, any aftermarket locks and cameras provided by the customer.
- Incidental or consequential charges, such as, but not limited to labor costs for any purpose, inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or the property, or any other expense.
- Claims of unsuitable style, operation or design after the installation of product ordered according to the signed contract. All sizes are approximate and may vary due to onsite conditions and/ or when necessary modifications have been made by the manufacturer.
- Manufacturer supplies and Vinyl-Professionals installs porch enclosures with single pane glasses covered with protective powder coating which may look like dirt. That coating serves to protect the glasses from damage, scratching and sticking during transportation and installation. The customer may require to wash out the protective coating 3 days after the installation is completed.

Insulated Glass
10 YEAR WARRANTY on Insulated Glass. At Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors insulated glass units are covered by a 10 Year Warranty against sealed unit failure. “Failure” is defined as a loss of the seal between the glass and the edge sealant resulting in the formation of moisture between the inner and outer panes of glass or the collection of dust or dirt between the inner and outer panes of glass. Under no circumstances is broken glass covered under this warranty. According to the Canadian Glazing Standards Board (CGSB) for glazing quality glass, defects such as minute bubbles, eyes, crystals and/or scratches are normal and inherent to any manufactured glass product. These minor defects are not warranted. Cracked glass or IG failure due to a manufacturing defect or subject to thermal shock are covered on parts for a period of one (1) year from the last day of installation.
- Sealed glass units that are purchased to put into a customer existing window will have a 6 month warranty on materials only, against failure of the seal.
Painted Products
15 YEAR WARRANTY on painted products. Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors painted windows are warranted against such defects in material and workmanship that might result from paint peeling, flaking, cracking and major non-uniform discoloration for a period of fifteen (15) years and is caused by exposure to sunlight, heat, or noxious or abrasive materials. Corner welds on colored windows may fade over time. Color touch-up is the responsibility of the home owner. Damage of the interior laminate caused by using abrasive cleaners is excluded.
Transfer
This warranty is fully transferable at no extra costs, provided that the products are registered within 30 days from the purchasing and a notification of the transfer from the new owner is submitted within 30 days from the closing day. Notifications to Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors can be sent via mail or be made online.
Vinyl
LIFETIME WARRANTY on White Vinyl Frame and Vinyl Sash Members. Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors are warranted against such defects in material that might result in blistering, peeling, flaking, corroding and uneven fading of the frame or sash members for the lifetime of the product from the date of installation.
Hardware
10 YEAR WARRANTY on Hardware. All Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors hardware are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 10 years from the date of invoice. This Warranty does not cover any hardware that has been tampered with or any product which has been improperly installed, abused, misused, worn out, altered, used for a purpose other than that for which it was intended, or in a manner inconsistent with any instructions regarding use of such product, nor does it cover corrosion related damage.
Screens
Punctures and tears in screens are covered for a period of 10 days after the delivery or pick up. Parts Free, labour not included. Please note that a screen will not stop a child from falling out of the window.
Limitations on Repairs or Replacement
Vinyl-Pros’s liability is limited solely to the repair or replacement of parts and to substitute such parts with equivalent as it may be necessary at the sole discretion of Vinyl-Pros. Under no circumstances will Vinyl-Pros be liable for incidental or consequential charges, such as, but not limited to, labor costs for any purpose, inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or to property, or any other expense. This Warranty will be deemed null and void if the owner/purchaser modifies or otherwise alters in any way the product after installation without the written consent of Vinyl-Pros, if the product is used for a purpose not intended, or otherwise outside the accepted and advised use and if harmful cleaning solutions and abrasive compounds are used, as well as any windows manufactured outside Vinyl-Pros manufacturing specifications as specified on Vinyl-Pros’s website. Vinyl-Pros windows and doors limited lifetime Warranty must be registered within 15 days from the completion of the installation to be valid. Registration can be made online or via mail, by providing Dealer name, copy of the invoice or work order number, date of purchase, day of installation. All product imperfections and/or defects such as cracks, scratches, dents, bends, tears and punctures must be reported within a period of 10 days from the last day of installation or pickup.
Exclusions
The following are excluded from coverage under this Warranty:
- Exposure to harmful pollutants, the corrosion of non-vinyl products or components due to the proximity to coastal areas, excessive thermal or physical stress and/or high humidity levels such as but not limited to improper storage.
- Any damage to the window or window components due to the settlement of building structure.
- The Warranty does not cover routine and seasonal adjustments of a window including window sash, frame, brick molds, jamb extensions or casings caused by seasonal foundation shifting, house or wall shifting or frost. All window parts may bind at times. Exterior windows are subject to severe conditions because of the exposure to both internal heat and external elements. A certain amount of expansion and/or contraction may be expected during a time.
- Any damage caused by wind, hail, lightning or other incident of weather, deemed as an act of God.
- Minor imperfections in windows and doors that do not affect the product’s structural integrity or obscure vision.
- Any window which has been repaired or modified by any person other than a factory-trained Service Technician or authorized Vinyl-Pros representative or any Non-Vinyl-Pros add-on or replacement parts added to the Window(s)
- Any defect, malfunction or failure to perform, which has occurred because of unreasonable use, improper application or the failure to perform reasonable or necessary maintenance.
- If products with visible defect(s) after goods have been picked up or delivered and are installed with such defects, but not limited to scratches, dents, and cracks and/or damaged components without notifying Vinyl-Pros prior to installation. Any product not paid in full or sold through any account which is not in good stand.
- Vinyl-Pros installers always do our best to keep homes clean and minimize messes after the installation. It is a customer’s responsibility to do a final clean up after our team leaves the property.
- Vinyl-Professionals assumes no responsibility for painting or touch-ups, stucco, drywall, tiles, stone, existing windowsills, concrete or plaster repairs and cracks, fixing holes and imperfections after an existing window removal or damage to the existing homeowner’s materials, garden plants or landscaping and removal or re-installation of window coverings and security/ alarm systems.
- Condensation on windows, which may occur as a natural result of humidity within the house or building area. Please refer to Condensation-Explained-Video for condensation prevention tips.

- Installation or service that has not been paid for in full
- All product imperfections and/or defects such as cracks, scratches, dents, bends, tears and punctures that are reported after a period of 10 days from the day of installation or pickup.
- Any and all warranted items are voided if a storm door is installed over the painted/stained door due to excessive heat
- Vinyl-Professionals assumes no responsibility for painting or touch-ups, stucco, drywall, tiles, stone, existing windowsills, concrete or plaster repairs and cracks, fixing holes and imperfections after an existing door(s) or/and sidelight(s) removal or damage to the existing homeowner’s materials and removal or re-installation of window coverings and security/ alarm systems.
- Screens damage, door sweeps, door thresholds, natural shrinking of caulk, rusty or broken screws and glass breakage of any kind are not covered under this warranty. Custom size door glass designs will not match the standard glass designs from door catalogs.
- Vinyl-Professionals does not guarantee to install the following door locks provided by the customer: wireless, key-pad, electrical. Customers may require to hire a locksmith company to install a lock and pay for the service.
- The Warranty does not cover routine and seasonal adjustments of a door, frame or bottom sweep caused by seasonal foundation shifting, house shifting or frost. All doors may bind at times. Exterior doors are subject to severe conditions because of the exposure to both internal heat and external elements. A certain amount of expansion and/or contraction may be expected during a time.
- Installation or product failure, or loss due to:
- Routine wear of components such as sweeps, hinges, weather-stripping, corner seal pads, and hardware through normal usage
- Finish fading due to UV or sunlight, rain or other weather-related exposure, variation of stain absorption due to grain, color and texture differences
- Exposure to excessive localized heat, high-moisture environments (including pools, hot tubs and greenhouses) or water leakage
- Exposure to salt spray and other coastal conditions
- Acid rain or other corrosive elements
- Damage or window seal failure caused by a third party, including but not limited to, modifications, alterations, abuse, improper use, vandalism, impact by a foreign object, act of God or nature, fire or other casualty, improper handling, storage or installation
- Stripped roto gear due to over-tightening of door hardware
- Faded corner welds on colored windows
- Structural settlement, movement or vibration
- Improperly installed security systems
- Damage caused by high in-home humidity (condensation, frost and mould)
- Damage caused by inappropriate finishes, solvents, brick-wash, or cleaning chemicals
- Mechanical abrasion to finishes
- Non-factory applied finishes, applied sealants or caulking
- Door panel, moldings, light rims and frame not properly finished within 30 days of installation
- Minor imperfections in glass that do not affect the product’s structural integrity or significantly obscure vision (including textures, swirls and air bubbles in decorative glass)
- Minor variations in glass color
- Minor imperfections in the panel and/or frame graining or color
- Installation inconsistent with recognized industry standards
- Product failures outside the warranty period
- Incidental or consequential charges, such as, but not limited to labor costs for any purpose, inconvenience, damage or injury to persons or the property, or any other expense
- Claims of unsuitable style, operation or design after the installation of product ordered according to the signed contract

General Terms
Vinyl-Pros warrants the patio door vinyl frame and sash components against blistering and peeling, flaking, and corroding for a period of ten (10) years. All hardware is warranted against defects for two (2) years. Insulating glass panels are warranted against seal failure for ten (10) years. Workmanship and mini blinds are warranted for a period of five (5) years. Exterior paint warranted for a period of two (2) years to remain free of peeling, cracking and major discoloration not caused by exposure to sunlight heat, noxious or abrasive materials. All product imperfections and/or defects such as cracks, scratches, dents, bends, tears and punctures must be reported within a period of 10 days from the last day of installation or pickup.
Screens
Punctures and tears in screens are covered for 10 days Parts Free, labor not included. Please note that a screen will not stop a child from falling out of the window.

What’s covered?
Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors warrants that all work performed as a part of the Installation will be free of Installation Defects for a period of five years from the date of completion of the installation. If given Prompt Notice (within 30 days of discovery) of an Installation Defect, Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors shall, at its sole option:
- furnish labor to repair any such Installation Defect OR
- replace the defective unit(s)
The proper care and maintenance of Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors products is important to assuring that Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors products will perform year after year.
Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors agrees to service products where Buyer gives Prompt Notice (within 30 days of discovery) of the need for service as long as the need for service is due to an Installation Defect or Product Defect.
For the purpose of this warranty an Installation Defect is an error that significantly impairs the proper operation of Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors product, while a Product Defect is a defect that significantly impairs the proper operation and function of your Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors products and is covered under the applicable product warranty.
While Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors agrees to service products for the applicable periods specified in this warranty, any labour required to replace defective parts will not be covered after a period of two years. Should repairs be necessary which are not the result of defects in workmanship or materials provided by Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors, reasonable charges will be applied for such repairs and/or inspections.
The signed Sales Agreement, product warranties and this Warranty and Service Agreement constitute the entire agreement between seller and buyer. Buyer agrees that there is no reliance on any statement, agreement, writing, warranty or representation, whether written or oral, other than the terms contained in this Warranty and Service Agreement, the Sales Agreement, and any applicable product warranties.
What’s not covered?
- Installation or service that has not been paid for in full
- Installation or product failure, or loss due to:
- Structural settlement or movement, vibration, excessive localized heat, high in-home humidity, or latent defects in home
- Structural deficiencies stemming from non-compliance to current Building Code standards
- Water leakage not caused by installation performed by Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors
- Acts of God
- Accident, misuse, abuse, alterations, or improper handling, operation or cleaning
- Improperly installed security systems or damage by security systems
- Failure to utilize proper maintenance
- Normal wear and tear
- Minor imperfections in glass that do not affect the product’s structural integrity or significantly obscure vision
- Size discrepancies that are within the allowable tolerances outlined by the CSA
- Installation of non-Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors products, such as storm doors or entry doors that were purchased separately by the Buyer
- Vinyl-Professionals Windows and Doors products that were installed by a third party contractor
- While we utilize the highest quality caulking, over time it tends to shrink. This is a natural characteristic of this material. As such, over the course of your ownership, we highly recommend regular re-caulking of your windows, doors or porch enclosure.
- Vinyl-Professionals will not be liable for normal fading due to ageing that will occur with non painted and painted PVC, steel, wood, aluminum or fiberglass product.
- Claims of unsuitable style, operation or design after the installation of product ordered according to the signed contract
